Tim Frank – President
Nearly 20 years' experience leading, managing, and growing prominent construction equipment companies from Sany to Volvo.
Tim Frank brings nearly 20 years of construction equipment executive and management experience to his position as President of IronDirect. He most recently served as Chairman and CEO of Sany America, leading the startup to its first profitability and rapid growth of its North American distribution. Prior to that position, Mr. Frank worked in Shanghai, China as a consultant to Sany, the world's fifth-largest construction equipment manufacturer with revenues at the time of over $12 billion. Here he developed the company's international growth strategy in all markets outside of China.
From 2002 to 2011, Mr. Frank served in various vice president roles for Volvo Construction Equipment, the world's fourth-largest equipment manufacturer. In his last several years with the company, Mr. Frank served as Senior Vice President of Operations, Sales, and Marketing in North America, overseeing a $2 billion P&L with 900 employees and a company-owned retail distribution of 48 branches with annual sales of over $300 million. He also developed the first globalization strategy for the Chinese wheel loader brand, SDLG, a Volvo acquisition in late 2007, which was successfully launched in the Americas after Mr. Frank's departure from Volvo.
Before coming to Volvo, Mr. Frank spent six years at CNH Global and Caterpillar in various international and domestic roles. From 2008 to 2010, Mr. Frank served on the board of the Association of Equipment Manufacturers with the leaders of every major North American equipment manufacturer.
Andy Clevenger – VP Product Engineering & Service
Over 20 years' experience in equipment engineering and product development with Sany, Volvo, and John Deere.
Andy Clevenger brings over 20 years of engineering experience to IronDirect and is today among the most senior western engineers involved in the Chinese equipment manufacturing space. Mr. Clevenger most recently served as Vice President of Sany, where he was responsible for the research and development of all products in North America and Europe, includin g hydraulic excavators, rough terrain cranes, crawler cranes, wheel loaders, motor graders, and port equipment. He managed engineering in the U.S., Europe, and China, and linked customer market requirements from the field to project teams in China to ensure the products met customer needs when launched. In his two an d a half years at Sany, Mr. Clevenger grew the product portfolio from 12 to 37 models.
Prior to his work at Sany, Mr. Clevenger spent 11 years at Volvo Construction Equipment in various chief engineer and sales support roles involving pipelaying equipment, excavato rs, skid steer loaders, road equipment, and attachments. During his time at Volvo, he worked in Europe as a chief engineer for two and a half years, eventually transitioning his team back to the U.S. Before joining Volvo, Mr. Clevenger worked at John Deere developing skid steer loaders and managing projects. He began his career at Komatsu, engineering local market modifications for Japanese excavators sold in the U.S. Mr. Clevenger holds a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Tennessee.
Kendall Delp – Service Director
Nearly 20 years' experience meeting the unique service needs of the world's largest construction equipment users.
Kendall Delp has deep experience in meeting the unique service needs of the world's largest construction equipment users. He spent 16 years with Volvo Construction Equipment in various technical and management positions, ultimately serving as the Customer Support Manager for National Accounts. In this role, Mr. Delp was responsible for supporting the largest-volume customers in the U.S., including Waste Management, Republic Services, Oldcastle Materials Group, Copart, Schnitzer Steel, AMECO, and many others.
After his work with Volvo, Mr. Delp spent three years leading global service and maintenance for AMECO (a division of Fluor), with responsibility for a $450 million fleet operating in seven countries throughout the Americas and Africa and active in the construction, mining, and industrial segments. Recently, Mr. Delp implemented a telematics solution across 100,000 units for United Rentals, the world's largest equipment rental company. Mr. Delp has served as board member and committee chair for several committees of the Association of Equipment Management Professionals (AEMP), an independent industry association serving those responsible for on-and off-road fleets of all sizes. In AEMP, he focused on telematics standardization and was the AEMP Member of the Year in 2014.
Mr. Delp has a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Tulsa and an MBA from Western Carolina University.
Kevin Tanner – Engineering Manager
Nearly 15 years' engineering experience with expertise in product development, telematics, and a wide range of construction equipment.
Kevin Tanner brings nearly 15 years of engineering experience to his role with IronDirect, having worked with Ingersoll Rand, Volvo, and Sany. Mr. Tanner has experience with various types of construction equipment including deep experience in excavators, wheel loaders, motor graders, road machinery, and pipelayers.
Prior to joining IronDirect, he led development teams at Sany to develop tier 4 final products for both the North American and European markets, and worked extensively on the Volvo 50 to 150 ton pipelayers. He has specialized most of his career in translating customer input into engineering specifications and then taking those requirements to develop the product. He is an expert in organizing and managing customer events and field studies to draw out the needs of the market by segment.
Mr. Tanner has a special affinity for technology applications, and has developed custom, industry-leading telematics solutions for use on all types of heavy machinery.
Wes Lee – VP of Key Accounts
Over 40 years' heavy equipment experience in leadership, sales, and account management.
Wes Lee brings more than 40 years' global heavy equipment experience to his role with IronDirect. In the United Kingdom, Mr. Lee established and managed a joint venture, Construction Equipment Trading Company, before joining Dresser Industries as Managing Director of its European construction equipment division, then moving to the position of Vice President of U.S. Sales. His next role was as President of Eagle Picher Minerals, the world's second-largest supplier of diatomaceous earth and perlite products. After ten years with Eagle Picher, he returned to the construction equipment industry in late 2000 with Case New Holland (CNH) as Director of Heavy Products.
In 2004, Mr. Lee joined Volvo Construction Equipment as Director of Customer Solutions for aggregates, then moved on to manage all national accounts, government sales, remarketing, and rental channel activities.
Chris Price – Account Director
Nearly 10 years' expertise in product marketing, communications, and a wide range of construction equipment.
Chris Price brings nearly a decade of product marketing, communications, and brand management experience to his role with IronDirect, having worked with Mission Health and Volvo Construction Equipment. Mr. Price has experience with various types of construction equipment including excavators, wheel loaders, articulated trucks, road machinery, and compact equipment.
Prior to joining IronDirect, Mr. Price worked as a product specialist for compact wheel loaders and skid steers, where he acted as product champion to the North American region, organized and facilitated sales training, developed sales tools and materials, and acted as customer and dealer liaison to manufacturing. He has also worked for many years in product marketing and communications, where he gained experience with public relations and media in North America and developed skills in brand management, product launches, and customer events in the construction industry and in healthcare.
Mr. Price studied International Business and Spanish at Elon University and is currently pursuing his MBA from the University of South Carolina, Columbia.
Joe Krider – VP of Revenue & Growth
Joe Krider has served in senior leadership posts around the world in the heavy equipment and financial services industries for more than 20 years. Prior to joining IronDirect, he served as Vice President and Managing Director for the Americas region at Terex Port Solutions, a division of Terex Corporation. He was responsible for all sales, marketing, and service operations.
From 2006 to 2015, Mr. Krider served in a variety of roles for Terex including Co-Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer for RMITerex, Vice President of Strategic Opportunities, and President of Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States Operations. Before joining Terex, Mr. Krider was the Chief Financial Officer for JC Watts Companies.
Mr. Krider has a strong background in financial services and capital markets, including his role as Vice President in the Global Technology Investment Banking Group of UBS Warburg. He also worked at UBS Warburg in London on mergers and acquisitions. He previously served as a legislative advisor in the U.S. Congress. A graduate of the prestigious U.S. Military Academy at West Point, Mr. Krider served as an Infantry Officer in the U.S. Army. He holds an MBA from the London Business School.
Dan Collins – VP Key Account Sales and Parts Operations
Dan Collins brings over 30 years of construction equipment executive and management experience to his position with IronDirect.
Most recently, he served for ten years as National Sales and Marketing Manager for Kobelco Construction Machinery for various areas including service, training, warranty, and sales and marketing.
Mr. Collins worked for six years in China and Brazil for LiuGong Construction Machinery as Vice President of North America, General Manager of Latin America, and Deputy General Manager of Global Sales and Marketing Development. While at LiuGong, he developed the company's international growth strategy in all markets outside of China, serving as Chairman of Global After Sales Development for LiuGong Latin America and Guangxi Cummins Engine Company.
Mr. Collins started his career working in the parts and service department at a local dealership while still in high school. He was soon promoted to Manager of Service, Parts, and Rental and later to General Manager. After obtaining a degree in business management from LeTourneau University, he served in various executive roles for several large dealerships and OEMs in the industrial and construction equipment industries.
Tom Hlawek – VP Key Accounts
Tom Hlawek brings 25 years of experience to his role at IronDirect, having worked for several prominent dealer organizations representing products from LiuGong, Kobleco, New Holland, Case, Link-Belt, and others.
Over the last two decades, Mr. Hlawek has held roles of increasing responsibility within the construction equipment industry in the areas of business development as well as dealer and OEM operations for industry leaders including United Rentals and Case Corporation.
Prior to joining IronDirect, Mr. Hlawek served as General Manager for Noble Iron, one of the largest LiuGong dealers in North America. In this capacity, he was responsible for introducing the LiuGong brand to one of the largest U.S. markets. His knowledge of dealer, rental, and OEM operations provides a unique perspective to advance IronDirect's initiatives.
Jean Willoughby – Sales & Marketing Account Manager
Over 35 years' experience supporting revenue-generating teams in sales, marketing, and business development positions.
Ms. Willoughby brings over 35 years of diverse sales, marketing, and business development experience to the IronDirect team. Her responsibilities span all aspects of revenue support including collateral management, event planning and execution, and functional financial controls. She has supported revenue-producing teams for some of the largest companies in the construction equipment manufacturing space – most recently Volvo North America, where her support of marketing and sales efforts included the reporting of sales metrics, large-scale event management, sales planning, marketing programs, and logistics.
Prior to Volvo, Ms. Willoughby worked for Alstom Power and Industrial Systems in a variety of business development support roles including sales, marketing, procurement, supply management, and construction operations.
